Hope Mountain Center
Site Master Plan
Hope Mountain Center is located on a rural mountain-top in Cebu, Philippines. Today, there are 3 homes at Hope Mountain Center; a total of fifteen (15) homes are proposed to be developed.
The Site Master Plan includes the development of a chapel and several multi-purpose buildings. The multi-purpose buildings will include counseling rooms, office space, school classrooms, a library, large group meeting rooms, vocational training rooms, a medical clinic, and temporary housing for staff and visiting missionaries.
A professional architect from Cebu City donates their services for the design of Hope Mountain Center.
Homes
Each home can typically accommodate up to ten (10) children. The first home was completed in 2019. A second aftercare home was completed in 2020.
A third home was completed in 2023. The third home will temporarily be used to provide space for support services needed to care for the children living at Hope Mountain Center. After construction of a new multi-purpose building to be known as “The Healing Place”, the third home will be transformed to accept children.
Support Services - The Healing Place
The Healing Place is a planned multi-purpose building that will provide space for support services needed for the care of the children living at Hope Mountain Center.
The Healing Place will include: a counseling room, a de-escalation room, several classrooms, a library, a medical clinic, a meeting room, office space for the social workers and administrative staff, a vocational training room, a security room, storage space, and an open area for large gatherings.
Gardening & Recreation
We have several vegetable garden areas at Hope Mountain Center. We also have a chicken coop to produce eggs.
We also have four goats at Hope Mountain. The goat enclosure is one of the places the children go when they are feeling stressed.
There is a lot of open space for recreational activities. We hope to eventually build a covered basketball/volleyball/badminton court.
